Balkumari College

Balkumari College was founded on September 18, 1986 ( 2nd Aswin 2043) and is affiliated with Tribhuvan University. On November 22, 2009, the Quality Assurance & Accreditation Committee of the University Grants Commission Nepal awarded the college Quality Assurance & Accreditation ( QAA) certification ( 7th Mansir 2066). In July 2008, it was recognized as an ISO 9001 certified quality management system ( QMS) institution.

It is one of Nepal’s most prestigious institutions, offering university-level education. Apart from teaching the normal University curriculum, the institution is engaged in a number of unique programs. These programs have been carefully developed to provide students a distinct advantage in terms of job placement or future study. The hotel sector is one of the most dynamic in the world, with year-on-year growth. In collaboration with Tribhuvan University Nepal, Balkumari College is pleased to introduce the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) program. The Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) program is designed to provide students a comprehensive knowledge of the hotel and hospitality industry’s operational elements.
Actually, the BHM program at Balkumari College began in the academic year 20672068. Balkumari College is the first community college to provide academic courses in hospitality management to the future generation of industry professionals. The course material and practical training fulfill industrial requirements thanks to the combination of industry expertise and T.U. curriculum.The College administration combines inspiring classroom instruction with cutting-edge practical experience.

Eligibility

Bachelor of Hotel Management at Balkumari College is open to students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent in any subject with a minimum grade of 2nd division.
Students who have completed XI and are awaiting their XII results are also eligible to apply.
