Kantipur International College (KIC) is a privately owned higher educational institution in Nepal that was founded in the year 2000. Purbanchal University is one of its affiliates. KIC’s academic programs are held in two locations throughout the Kathmandu valley. Anyone interested in pursuing a career in the hotel industry should enroll in the Hotel Management program. The student who wishes to enroll in a hotel management school must have a fondness for the term “socialization,” which means “understanding the requirements of people or guests.” The goal of a hotel management course is to offer the greatest service to the guests, since hotels are part of the service sector. A bachelor’s degree in hotel management (BHM) combines academic and practical instruction. The course lasts four years and is split into eight semesters for a total of 144 credit hours.

Students are given hands-on experience training in order to enable them to handle any department of the hospitality industry with ease, allowing them to apply their theoretical learning in a real-world setting and learn to improve skills, inspiration, and knowledge, allowing them to become successful managers and entrepreneurs. Every operational department of the hotel, such as Front Office, Accommodation, Food & Beverage Service, and Food Production, is made aware of the leaders and managers.

Throughout the program, students are taken on different college-sponsored field excursions. Festival of food

KIC has been hosting a food festival to introduce hospitality students to the management system and improve their morale. Fifth-semester hospitality students host an indoor food festival for college employees and students on the campus grounds. Second, a large food fair is held for the general public. Hotel executives and hospitality specialists are on hand to observe the event.

Research/Library

The KIC library has an extensive selection of books that are required for program sessions. Each student need a suitable number of books, journals, articles, reference materials, and other resources. The institution is also capable of managing instructional resources from its vast library network.

Labs

KIC College has all of the required contemporary laboratories and equipment. The computer labs are equipped with high-tech computers and internet access 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In-built workshops are available for engineering students to complete practicals. The sophisticated and well-equipped in-built model bar and restaurants, training kitchens, and reception offer hotel management trainees real-world exposure.
